Welcome

Our story

Kawayu opened on this corner of Ishiwara in 1907,
close to where the painter Hokusai was born.
Today the fourth generation of the family is at the grill.
We keep the old flavors as they were,
and now and then add a new eel dish.
If you are visiting Tokyo Skytree,
please drop in on your way there or back.

Inside Kawayu: tables under shoji paper windows
The dining room has 44 seats, all at tables.
